Dustin Kirk is the head coach of the inaugural men’s and women’s wrestling programs at Mission College. A former 3C2A state champion and two-time NCAA Division II All-American, Kirk brings a championship pedigree and a deeply athlete-centered philosophy to the newly established Monarch program.

Prior to taking the helm at Mission College, Kirk spent four highly successful seasons building and leading the powerhouse women’s wrestling program at Cerritos College. Under his guidance, the Falcons captured four consecutive 3C2A State Championships, a Dual Meet State Championship, and produced over 50 All-Americans. For his outstanding leadership, Kirk was honored as the CCCWCA State Coach of the Year for three consecutive seasons.

As a competitor, Kirk was a standout on the mat. During his sophomore season at Cerritos College, he captured the 3C2A State Championship at 133 pounds, finishing the year with a dominant 36-1 record. He then transferred to NCAA Division II King University in Bristol, Tennessee, where he made history alongside teammate Bryce Killian as the first two-time All-Americans in the program’s history.

Having navigated the junior college system himself, Kirk utilizes his first-hand perspective to connect with, recruit, and mentor student-athletes. His coaching philosophy centers on character, growth, and providing direction to athletes who may not yet realize their own potential. Beyond his role on the mat, Kirk serves as the President of the California Community College Wrestling Coaches Association (CCCWCA), where he continues to advocate for the advancement of community college athletics.
